Goethe-Zertifikat (German) – Tunisia: how to register

The Goethe-Zertifikate A1 to C2 are taken at a Goethe-Institut or an approved exam partner. Each centre sets its dates, fees and deadline, level by level.

  1. Read the conditions

Before registering, read the centre's conditions, the Exam Regulations and the Implementation Provisions of the level.

  2. Register with the centre

Depending on the centre: online (goethe.de or the centre's site), by form (post, e-mail) or in person. The centre sets the deadline, place and date.

  5. On exam day

Show an official photo ID (the centre says which ones it accepts). Minors need their legal guardian's consent to register.

Advised lead time

Our advice: choose your session 2 to 3 months before the date you need (application, admission) and register as soon as it opens: seats go fast.

Retaking the exam

After a fail, the centre sets the waiting period. A1: whole exam only. A2: whole exam, or exceptionally the oral or the whole written part, within a year at the same centre. B1 to C2: each module can be retaken as often as the centre allows; module certificates can be combined.

Results and validity

The regulations set no expiry date; a certificate can be checked at goethe.de/verify. An embassy or employer may require a recent certificate.
